Mariner Warnings and Cautions:
For best results and user safety, the following warnings and cautions
should always be followed when handling and operating your camera.
Caution!
ƒ
The ThermoVision
®
Mariner imaging system is not
intended to be used as the primary navigation system.
It should be used in conjunction with other navigation
aids and a primary manual navigation system.
ƒ
Do not open the camera body for any reason.
Disassembly of the camera (including removal of the
cover) can cause permanent damage and will void the
warranty.
ƒ
Great care should be exercised with your camera
optics. They are delicate and can be damaged with
improper cleaning. Refer to paragraph 4.2.1
“Cleaning” on page 17.
ƒ
Operating the camera outside of the specified input
voltage range or the specified operating temperature
range can cause permanent damage.
ƒ
Do not image extremely high intensity radiation
sources, such as the sun, lasers, arc welders, etc.
ƒ
The camera is a precision optical instrument and
should not be exposed to excessive shock and/or
vibration. Refer to Chapter 6 “Technical Data” on page
23 for detailed environmental requirements.
