If Modbus RTU slaves are used, the Modbus protocol must be enabled on the
RS485/RS422 port
(see section 5.1.3: “System”)
On the local web interface “Modbus” tab, you can configure the maximum response time for
the Modbus RTU and TCP protocols.

a Modbus slave is defined by a label, a dataset, a Modbus address and a schedule. For a
Modbus TCP Modbus slave, an IP address is needed.
