6.10 Adjusting Temperature for Bag Thickness
Changing bag thickness may require some adjustment to the Temperature.
A typical starting temperature is 150°C. A thicker bag may require a higher temperature.
Run a test bag. If seal fails, increase temperature by 15°C and run again.

Continue to run tests until seal is made.
THIN BAGS:
Decrease working temperature by at least 75°C.
If bag shrivels, temperature is still too high.
Reduce it further.
A thinner bag may require a lower temperature.
If seal fails, increase temperature by increments
of 15°C until seal is made.

As the adjustments reach the optimum temperature necessary for a
particular bag thickness, increments must be gradually reduced until
final adjustments may be only 1° or 2°C
6.11 Heating Capsule outlet height
IMPORTANT
The Heat Line must be in the MIDDLE of the Wheel Impression
6.11.1 To check impressions:
Wind out the Adjuster (C) to give minimum pressure at the pressure wheels
Pass a bag through the machine
6.11.2 Any misalignment will show
clearly on the bag.
