Programming Remotes on Push to Start (PTS) Vehicles
Most Push to Start vehicles do not have a key that you can turn between the On and Acc positions. This
makes programming remotes difficult. We have a different set of steps for programming remotes.
STEP 1:
Press the PTS button to turn the vehicle to the ‘On’ position. Do not start the car.
STEP 2:
Within 5 seconds, push the PTS button again to turn the vehicle ‘Off.’
STEP 3:
Within 5 seconds, push the PTS button to turn the ignition ‘On.’
STEP 4:
Within 5 seconds, press and release the foot brake 3 times. The parking lights will flash once to
indicate remote programming has begun.
STEP 4A (FMX REMOTES ONLY):
If using one of the FMX frequency remotes, you will need to
tap the button on the antenna after the 3 foot brake presses in STEP 4. The front LED on the
antenna will turn on solid red. After the antenna’s LED illuminates solid red, proceed to STEP 5.
STEP 5:
Tap the lock button on the 1
st
remote. The LED on the antenna will flash green. The parking
lights will also flash once, indicating that the remote has been coded. Repeat this step to code each
remote, pressing the lock button one after the other.
STEP 6:
After 10 seconds, your vehicle will exit remote programming mode.
Remote Start Error Diagnostics
If the remote start fails to start the vehicle, the parking lights will flash three times immediately. Following
those three flashes the parking lights will flash again corresponding to the error table.
