Operating instructions
Service
Have your power tool serviced by a qualifi ed repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will
ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Never service damaged battery packs. Service of battery packs should only be performed by the
manufacturer
BRUSH CUTTER SAFETY WARNINGS
Do not use the machine when the operator is tired, ill or under the infl uence of alcohol or other drugs.
Keep a fi rm footing and balance during operating. Use the harness provided.
Replace cutting blade if cracked, chipped, or damaged in any way. Be sure the blade is properly installed and
securely fastened. Failure to do so can cause serious injury.
Keep away from cutting blade. Even after the motor has stopped, the cutting blade will continue to rotate
for several seconds. Please wait until cutting blade has fully stopped before putting the machine down or
accessing the cutting area.
Switch off the machine when not cutting. Never leave the machine running when unattended.
SAFE OPERATING PRACTICES
Training
Read the instructions carefully. Be familiar with the controls and the correct use of the machine.
Never allow children, persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge or people unfamiliar with these instructions to use the machine, local regulations may
restrict the age of the operator.
Keep in mind that the operator or user is responsible for accidents or hazards occurring to other people or
their property.
Preparation
Before use, always visually inspect the machine for damaged, missing or misplaced guards or shields.
Never operate the machine while people, especially children, or pets are nearby.
Operation
Wear eye protection, long trousers and stout shoes at all times while operating the machine.
Avoid using the machine in bad weather conditions especially when there is a risk of lightning.
Use the machine only in daylight or good artifi cial light.
Never operate the machine with damaged guards or shields or without guards or shields in place.
Switch on the motor only when the hands and feet are away from the cutting means.
Always disconnect the machine from the power supply (e.g. remove the battery pack from the machine)
1) whenever the machine is left unattended;
2) before clearing a blockage;
3) before checking, cleaning or working on the machine;
4) after striking a foreign object;
5) whenever the machine starts vibrating abnormally.
Take care against injury to feet and hands from the cutting means. h) Always ensure that the ventilation
openings are kept clear of debris.
Never fi t metal cutting elements.
Always be sure of your footing on slopes.
