Appendix C Interfaces
The following introduces interfaces of the CiTRANS R820 cards.
C.1 Optical Interface
Optical interfaces on the panel of a CiTRANS R820 optical interface card are
classified into the RX optical interfaces for inputting optical signals and TX optical
interface for outputting optical signals. The LC optical connector is used.
Caution:
u DO NOT stare at optical interfaces with unprotected eyes; otherwise,
eyes may be hurt by laser beams.
u If an optical fiber should be removed for a long time, cover the optical
interface with an anti-dust cap.
u Use a fiber puller when inserting or pulling out an optical fiber.
C.2 Electrical Interface
The following introduces electrical interfaces of the CiTRANS R820 cards.
C.2.1 RJ-45 Connector
An RJ-45 connector is equipped with a yellow indicator and a green indicator.
u If the yellow indicator is constantly on, the link on the port is normal.
u If the green indicator blinks, the port is receiving or sending data.
Table C-1 describes the RJ-45 connector on the panel of the SCUS1/2/3 card.
