Installation
The serial interface X4 is operated with the following settings:
–
Baud rate: 9.6...115.2 kbaud
–
Data bits: 8-bit
–
Parity: even
–
1 stop bit
–
no handshake
For connection to a PC you will need:
–
a screened connecting cable (e.g. a Festo diagnostic cable
type KDI-PPA-3-BU9)
–
a PC with a serial interface (RS-232) with WinPISA pro-
gramming and commissioning sortware type P.SW-WIN-
PISA-.... installed.
PLEASE NOTE
If you use another manufacturer’s connecting cable,
make sure that it has the correct pin assignment. Use
a screened cable and connect the screening to the
connector casing.
