Fitting and removing the modules
CAUTION
Modules can be damaged by incorrect handling.
•
Do not touch any of the components.
•
Observe the regulations for handling components which
are affected by electrostatic charges.
•
Discharge yourself electrostatically before fitting or
removing modules, in order to protect the components
against discharges of static electricity.
The field bus module can be fitted as desired in slots 2 to 6. If
the field bus module is fitted next to the diagnostic module, it is
not possible to connect an operating panel whilst the field bus
cable is still connected. Only 1 field bus module may be fitted. If
I/O modules are fitted, their I/Os can be programmed as
desired.
Removing the modules
1. Switch off the the compressed air supply and operating
voltage.
2. Loosen and remove the connecting cable on the front of the
module.
3. Unlock both safety levers by pushing them aside (see follow-
ing diagram).
4. Grip the module by the front plate and pull it out.
5. Any unused slots should be sealed with blind plates.
