1.1.2 Variants of the CP system
Depending on the type of CP master and on the CP modules
connected, the CP system will support a different number of
modules per CP string.
CP master and CP modules can be placed in two different
groups:
with extended functions
without extended functions.
CP modules with extended functions are distinguished by the
following features:
incoming and continuing CP interface
any desired sequence of the modules within the CP string
maximum 4 modules are possible per CP string.
