3.4 Error treatment
3.4.1 Reaction to faults in the control system
The valves react differently to errors or faults. A distinction is
made between:
S
Reset by the master
S
Communication failure
Fault Reaction
Reset by the master Valves are reset immediately
Communication failure
(bus interface is still supplied
with 24 V) Valves are reset after
2.5 seconds
Communication failure
(bus interface no longer supplied
with 24 V) Valves are reset immediately
Please note
If valves are reset during a PLC stop or in the event of a
field bus interruption, the following "pneumatic rules"
must be observed:
S
Unilaterally−actuated valves move to the basic position
S
Double−olenoid valves remain in the current position
S
Mid−position valves move to the mid−position (depend
ing on valve type) pressurized, exhausted or blocked.
