IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
1.
Read all instructions carefully before using the product.
2.
Make sure that your outlet voltage corresponds to the voltage stated on the rating label of the device.
3.
Do not use the appliance for any other than its intended use which is described in this leaflet.
4.
The iron should always be switched off before connecting or disconnecting from the power supply. Do not pull
by the cord to disconnect the plug from the wall socket – always grasp the plug.
5.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or
damaged in any manner. Take the product to an authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical
or mechanical adjustment.
6.
For your own safety, check cord and plug of the device regularly for possible damages. If the supply cord is
damaged, it must only be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person, to
avoid hazard.
7.
When you have finished ironing or when you are leaving iron unattended:
•
turn the steam control knob(7) to position”0”, and the temperature control dial(1) to “0”
•
stand the iron in upright position,
•
disconnect the iron from the wall outlet.
8.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
9.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
10.
To protect against fire, electric shock or personal injury, NEVER immerse cord, plug, or any part of
the iron in water or any other liquid.
11.
Do not touch hot metal parts of the device, hot water or steam. These parts reach high temperatures and may
cause burns. Take care if you turn the iron upside down: there may be not hot water in the tank.
12.
The plug and cord should not be allowed to touch the hot sole plate or any other hot surfaces. Let the iron cool
down completely before taking it away. Roll the power cord around the iron for storage.
13.
Disconnect the iron from the wall outlet while filling with water or emptying the water after use.
14.
To avoid an overloaded circuit, do not operate another high voltage appliance in the same electric circuit.
15.
Never use an extension power cord set that is not approved by a competent authority and does not comply with
the Safety directives of the European Union. The cord should be rated for 10A (Europe) - cords rated for less
amperage may overheat. The cord should be arranged in such way so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over.
16.
When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
17.
The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.
18.
The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.
19.
Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
20.
Don’t use the appliance outdoors.
