3.2 Commissioning
Before turning on the boiler
•
Check the tightness of the gas system.
•
Before filling the system, check the correct expansion vessel precharge.
•
Fill the hydraulic system and make sure all air contained in the boiler and the system has been vented.
•
Make sure there are no water leaks in the system, DHW circuits, connections or boiler.
•
Make sure there are no flammable liquids or materials near the boiler.
•
Check correct connection of the electrical system and efficiency of the grounding system.
•
Make sure the gas valve is set for the gas to be used (see *** '- THROTTLE position and parameter setting' on page
204 ***cap. 3.1 "Adjustments").
•
Fill the trap (see cap. 2.7 "Condensate drain connection").
B
IF THE ABOVE INSTRUCTIONS ARE NOT OBSERVED THERE MAY BE RISK
OF SUFFOCATION OR POISONING DUE TO GAS OR FUMES ESCAPING;
DANGER OF FIRE OR EXPLOSION. ALSO, THERE MAY BE A RISK OF ELEC-
TRIC SHOCK OR FLOODING THE ROOM.
First boiler ignition
•
Make sure there is no draw-off of hot water and room thermostat requests.
•
Turn on the gas and check that the gas supply pressure ahead of the unit complies with the technical data table or
in any case the tolerance provided for by the regulations.
•
Power the boiler electrically, the FW and software version number appear on the display. Then the message "boiler
start" appears with the timers indicating the progress of deaeration (see cap. 1.3 "Connection to the power supply,
switching on and off" on page 187).
•
At the end of the FH cycle, the display will show the winter mode screen, make the temperature adjustments: heating
flow and DHW outlet (fig. 7 and fig. 6).
•
Check if the flue parameter value (“Combustion Control Menu” on page 210) is suitable for the length of flue insta-
lled.
•
In case of gas change (G20 - G30 - G31), check if the relevant parameter is suitable for the type of gas present in
the supply system (“Combustion Control Menu” on page 210 and cap. 3.1 "Adjustments" on page 204).
•
Set the boiler to DHW or heating mode (see cap. 1.3 "Connection to the power supply, switching on and off" on
page 187).
•
In heating mode, do a request: the current heating system temperature is shown on the display; when the flashing
flame symbol appears it means that the burner is on and the system is calibrating. Wait for the end of calibration,
indicated by the steady flame symbol.
•
DHW mode with hot water draw-off present: the current DHW temperature is shown on the display; when the flas-
hing flame symbol appears it means that the burner is on and the system is calibrating; wait for the end of the cali-
bration which will be indicated with the steady flame symbol.
•
Carry out the fuel check as described in par. “Checking the combustion values” on page 205.
3.3 Maintenance
IMPORTANT
B
ALL MAINTENANCE WORK AND REPLACEMENTS MUST BE CARRIED OUT
BY SKILLED QUALIFIED PERSONNEL.
Before carrying out any operation inside the boiler, disconnect the power
and close the gas cock upstream. Otherwise there may be a danger of explo-
sion, electric shock, suffocation or poisoning.
