CORRECT
LIFTING OF THE
STRETCHER
Anti-shock Frame
The stretcher has an anti-shock frame (Figure 10A.) The
frame allows you to place the patient in the Trendelenburg
position (legs raised).
Before lifting / lowering the frame:
Grasp the frame and maintain your grip while lifting or
lowering the frame.
Raise or lower the frame while always standing at the foot
end, at the side.
TO LIFT THE FRAME
1) Detach or loosen the restraints holding the legs and
waist of the patient. Raise the frame to the desired position
(Figure 10B), locking it in place. 2) Re-attach and adjust the
restraints over the legs and waist of the patient.
TO LOWER THE FRAME:
1) Detach or loosen the restraints holding the legs and
waist of the patient. Unlock the support bars by lifting and
lowering the frame to the desired position, then locking it
into place. Re-attach and adjust the restraints over the legs
and waist of the patient.
2) Stay with the frame until it reaches the final position.
3) Adjust the restraints.
