Mechancal Assembles
The motor and the cutting assembly are the major mechanical assemblies in
the shredder.
Remove Cuttng Assembly and Motor from Cabnet
The gearbox protects the gears and supports the cutting assembly and motor.
The bearing plates support the cutting assembly. Consult the wiring diagrams
as needed. Note and label each wire as you disconnect it.
CAUTION!
The cutting assembly is heavy. Make sure a suitable work surface
is available before removing the cutting assembly.
To remove the cutting assembly and motor:

Remove the screw that holds the motor ground wire (yellow/green) to
the cabinet shelf.

Remove the 3 motor wire tabs from the PC board.

Remove the 2 bolts and washers that hold the motor to the cabinet
shelf.

Remove the 4 bolts and washers that hold the cutting assembly
bearing plates to the cabinet shelf.

Remove the 2 screws that hold the door ajar switch to the cabinet to
access a bearing plate bolt, if needed.

Lift the cutting assembly and motor up until it clears the supports on
the cabinet base and place it on a suitable work surface. Be careful
not to damage the motor wires.
