FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the tool is switched off andunplugged before adjusting or checking
function onthe tool.
Shaft lock
CAUTION:
Never actuate the shaft lock when the spindle
ismoving. The tool may be damaged.
Press the shaft lock to prevent spindle
rotationwheninstalling or removing accessories.
Switch action
CAUTION:
Before plugging in the tool, always check to seethat the slide switch actuates properly and
returnsto the “OFF” position when the rear of the slideswitch is depressed.
Switch can be locked in “ON” position for ease ofoperator comfort during extended use.
Applycaution when locking tool in “ON” position andmaintain firm grasp on tool.
To start the tool, slide the slide switch toward the “I (ON)”position. For continuousoperation,
press the front of theslide switch to lock it.
To stop the tool, press the rear of the slide switch, and thenslide it toward the “O (OFF)”
position.

Installing side grip (handle)
CAUTION:
Always be sure that the side grip is installedsecurely
before operation.Screw the side grip securely on the
position of the tool asshown in the figure.
Installing or removing wheel guard
CAUTION:
When using a depressed center grinding wheel/Multi-disc, flex wheel, wire wheel brush,
cut-offwheel or diamond wheel, the wheel guard must befitted on the tool so that the closed
side of the guardalways points toward the operator.
Mount the wheel guard with the protrusion on the wheelguard band aligned with the notch
on the bearing box.Then rotate the wheel guard around 180 degrees. Besure to tighten the
