Attaching or changing the grinding wheel in the wheel
arbor (Figure 6).

Lock the drive spindle using the open-jawed
wrench, size 17 mm (4d) and open the collet
chuck (1).

Insert the wheel arbor into the collet.
Note:
The maximum permissible protruding shaft
length (6j) of the wheel arbor must not exceed 8 mm.

Lock the drive spindle using the open-jawed
wrench, size 17 mm (4d) and screw the collet
chuck (1) in tightly using the open-jawed wrench,
size 13 mm (4c).

Mount the grinding wheel (6k) and the disc (6l)
onto the wheel arbor.
➤
Lock the clamping collet (1) with the open-
jawed wrench, size 13 mm (4c) and tighten the
hexagon nut (6m) with the open-jawed wrench,
size 17 mm (4d).
Securing the work piece.
Secure the workpiece adequately.
A workpiece that
is not properly secured can, for example, cause the
accessory to jam and kick back, fall and cause other
hazards.
General operating instructions.
Switching ON and OFF (Figure 2).
First check that the mains supply lead and mains
plug are not damaged.
Switching ON:

Press the switch (2a) and the lock-off (2b) at the
same time.

Let go of the lock-off (2b).
Switching OFF:
➤
Let go of the switch (2a).
Locking the switch:
➤
Keep the switching on lock (2b) pressed while
the power tool is switched on, and let go of the
switch (2a).
➤
To unlock, press the switch (2a) once again and
then let go of it.
Working instructions.
Using the same pressure, move the power tool back-
wards and forwards across the surface of the work piece
to prevent it from becoming too hot.
Repair and customer service.
When working metal under extreme operat-
ing conditions, it is possible for conductive
dust to settle in the interior of the power
tool. The total insulation of the power tool can be
impaired. Blow out the interior of the power tool via the
ventilation slots frequently with dry and oil-free com-
pressed air, and connect a residual current device (RCD)
on the line side.
If the supply cord of this power tool is damaged it
must be replaced by a specially prepared cord avail-
able through the FEIN customer service centre.

found in the Internet at www.fein.com.
If required, you can change the following parts yourself:
application tools, auxiliary handle, collet.
