Set up / Operation
Installation:
Make sure, that the gluing press is freely accessible on a leveled floor, and attach it to the floor.
(Assembling of the press see chapter “Assembling”)
Before starting work:
¾
Always check whether all the controls on the gluing press are okay.
¾
Check whether the pressure elements are free from dirt.
¾
Remove possible glue residues from 90°-stop and pad shoes, so that a clean gluing (bond)
is guaranteed.
Calculate the dimensions of the finished wooden board, so that you can adjust the
press arms and pad shoes accordingly.
¾
Adjust the press arms in such a way (horizontally move) that a uniform distance and thus a uniform
pressing pressure is produced.
¾
Make sure that the pressure elements are cranked all the way up.
¾
Now adjust the pad shoes in such a way that the finished wooden board still receives enough
press pressure (Observe the max. distance of the hydraulic cylinders!).
Clamping and gluing process:
If the pad shoes and the press arms have been positioned, the actual working process can be started.
¾
Fill (equip) the press with the glued workpieces, so that they are in contact at the 90°- stop.
¾
Now crank the pressure elements downwards until the desired pressure is reached.
¾
After the required drying time, the pressure elements have to be cranked up again in order to free
the finished wooden plate. The plate can now be lifted off the pad shoes.
Pull up the pad shoe to release the locking pin.
The pad shoe can now be moved freely.
Then release the pad shoe just before the desired position and
push it until the bolt snaps back into place.
