LEVEL 5 Load Management

thresholds. Three voltage thresholds are
programmable as follows:

High  Idle  Control Voltage Thresh-

old.

Load Shedding Voltage Threshold.

Low Battery Voltage Alarm Voltage

Threshold.

To  reconfigure  the  voltage  thresholds
when Voltage Threshold is selected, go
to Level 5 - Voltage Threshold, page 18.

High Idle Control
Enable

Press key 15 “High Idle Control Enable”
to  enable/disable  the  High  Idle  relay
output (+12VDC @ 2A max.). The High
Idle output operates in conjunction with
the PARK input. If the vehicle is shifted
out  of  PARK,  the  High  Idle  relay  will
NOT turn on. The key 15 LED is on when
High Idle control is enabled and off when
High Idle control is disabled. The High
Idle  control  and  Common  Microphone
control are mutually exclusive.

Common  Microphone
Control Enable

Press key 7 "Common Microphone Con-
trol Enable" to enable/disable the com-
mon microphone relay output (+12VDC
@ 2A max.). A common microphone mod-
ule  eliminates  the  need  for  two  micro-
phones. The key 7 LED is on when Com-
mon Microphone control is enabled and

Level 5 - Load Management is where you
decide  which  relays  should  shed  (turn
off),  the  shedding  sequence,  what  volt-
age  should  start  shedding,  enabling  of
automatic high idle control, and enabling
of the low voltage alarm.

SAVE

Save LEVEL 5 - Load Management  set-
tings and return to MAIN MENU page
6.

Load Shed Sequence

Press  key  10 “Load  Shed  Sequence”  to
reconfigure how the load manager man-
ages relays. It can be configured so that
relay outputs are not managed. Relays
then opreate in a normal on/off control
mode.

To reconfigure the load manager when
Load  Shed  Sequence  is  selected,  go  to
Level 5 - Load Shed Sequence, page 17.

Voltage Threshold

Press  key  11  “Voltage  Threshold”  to
reconfigure  the  load  manager  voltage

off when Common Microphone control is
disabled.

The  Common  Microphone  control  and
High Idle control are mutually exclusive.

Low Voltage Alarm
Enable

Press  key  16  “Low  Voltage  Alarm  En-
able” to enable/disable the Low Volatge
Alarm. The Low Voltage Alarm turns on
if the unit senses that the battery volt-
age  is  below  the  low  voltage  threshold
for 30 seconds or more.  The key 16 LED
is  on  when  the  Low  Voltage  Alarm  is
enabled  and  off  when  the  Low Voltage
Alarm is disabled.

Higher  Voltage  Settings
Enable

To  enable  the  higher  load  magager
threshold voltage settings (13.8V, 12.8V,
and 11.8V), press key 12. This setting in
conjunction  with  High  Idle  control  en-
able is intended for fire application use.

Lower  Voltage  Settings
Enable

To  enable  the  lower  load  manager
threshold voltage settings (12.8V, 11.8V,
and 11.0V), press key 4.
