When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always 
be followed, including the following:

•  Unplug from wall outlet when not in use and before cleaning. Allow 

to cool before putting on or taking off  parts, and before cleaning the 
appliance. 

•  Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the 

appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Call our 
toll-free customer assistance number for information on examination, 
repair, or adjustment. 

•  The use of accessory attachments not recommended by the appliance 

manufacturer may result in fi re, electric shock or injuries to persons. 

•  Do not use outdoors or in a damp area. 
•  Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces. 
•  Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner, or in a heated oven. 
•  Extreme caution must be used when moving an appliance containing 

hot oil or other hot liquids. 

•  To disconnect, turn the switch knob(s) to 

OFF

 to switch off  the appliance, 

then remove plug from wall outlet. 

•  Do not use the appliance for other than intended use. 
• 

CAUTION: To reduce the risk or electric shock, cook only in 
removable container. 

•  Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as adding refrigerated foods 

to a heated pot. 

•  Do not add too much water beyond the edge of the aluminum inner 

pot, or the water will fl ow out during cooking.

•  Intended for countertop use only.

WARNING:

 Spilled food can cause serious burns. Keep appliance and 

cord away from children. Never drape cord over edge of counter, never 
use outlet below counter, and never use with an extension cord.
