IV. WIRING DIAGRAMS
12523A NETWORK INTERFACE BOARD
The 12523 or 12523A Network Interface Board is a module to interface between the MPC-6000 or MPC-
7000 Fire Alarm System Control Unit or the RND-2 Remote Network Display. The NIB mounts to a 6-
gang box, 2” deep minimum. The Faraday 12411 surface backbox or the 12525 surface backbox with
transient suppressor may be used for surface mounting.

Notes:
1.)
Units to be installed in accordance with all local codes.
2.) T-Tapping is not allowed. Communication wiring must
be daisy chained from network interface board to
network interface board.
3.) Use Category 5 wire with 3000 feet maximum distance
from network interface module to network interface
module.
4.)
12525 is required when network wiring leaves the
building.
