After each use, always ensure that the plug is

first disconnected from the wall socket.

1. Clean all detachable parts after each use with

hot, soapy water, and rinse in cold water. Do

not wash parts in a dishwasher.

2. Wipe the external surface of the product with

a damp, soft cloth to remove marks.

3. Drops of water can accumulate in the area

above the filter holder and flow onto the base

of the product during the preparation. To

control this, wipe this area with a clean, dry

cloth after each use of the appliance.

4. Never use an abrasive agent to clean it.

5. Put all parts back together and keep them for

the next use.

So that your coffee maker always works effectively, regularly remove the limescale left

by the water depending on the quality of the water in your area and the frequency of

use of the appliance. Do the following:

1.  Fill the tank with water and limescale remover up to the indicated max level.

The mixture should be 4:1 water to limescale remover (use a household limescale

remover. For more information, refer to the limescale remover's instructions). You

can also use citric acid instead of limescale remover. (Proportion: 100 parts water to

3 parts citric acid).

2.  Place the carafe on the heating plate, making sure that the centre of the receptacle

of the filter holder is aligned with the hole in the middle of the lid of the carafe.

3.  Press the on/off button and the indicator light

(ON) will turn on. After a few

minutes, water will flow automatically.

4.  After having passed the equivalent of one cup, turn off the appliance by pressing

the on/off button twice. The

 light (ON) will switch off.

5.  Leave the solution to rest for 15 minutes and repeat steps 3 to 5.

6.  Turn on the appliance by pressing the on/off button once and let the water run

until the water tank is completely empty.

7.  Rinse the appliance by letting it operate with water at least 3 times.

DESCALING

1.  To obtain a tasty coffee, it is essential that the coffee maker is clean. Regularly clean

the coffee maker as indicated in the "CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE"

section. Always use clean and cold water in the coffee maker.

2.  Store the unused ground coffee in a cool, dry place. After opening a packet of

ground coffee, close it carefully and keep it in the refrigerator so that the coffee

stays fresh.

3.  For tasty coffee, buy coffee beans and grind them finely just before brewing them.

4.  Do not reuse the coffee powder, because that significantly reduces its flavour. It is

recommended that you do not reheat the coffee, because the flavour is the most

powerful just after brewing.

5.  Clean the coffee maker when over-extraction results in an accumulation of coffee

oil. Small drops of oil can form on the surface of the brewed black coffee. They are

due to the extraction of oil from the powdered coffee.

6.  This may be more frequent when using strongly roasted coffees.
