6.2 Troubleshooting
Problem Possible
cause
Solution
Battery capacity is too low.
Connect the device to a suitable power
source. The device should then start
automatically after a few minutes.
A charging process can take up to 4
hours. Please switch off the device when
not using it for longer periods of time.
Navigation device does
not start
Reset button:
Should your device no longer respond or
can no longer be operated, press the
Reset button using a thin object, e.g. a
pencil. The device will then restart and
can be operated again.
GPS reception can be interrupted due to
vapour-coated windscreens, narrow
thoroughfares between buildings, thick
clouds etc.
Reposition your navigation device if
necessary. At least 4 satellites are
needed for a navigation.
No GPS reception / GPS
reception is interrupted
When switched off completely, all GPS
settings are reset.
GPS-Fix, when stationary and in the
open air, can take up to 30 minutes in
exceptional cases.
The device is not equipped with the
function NAVTEQ Traffic.
This can be purchased additionally in
our Online Shop.
No TMC / NAVTEQ Trafficmessages
available. Poor coverage area.
TMC / NAVTEQ Traffic is supplied by
radio stations and NAVTEQ Traffic
providers. We recommend that you
attach the TMC antenna integrated in
the recharger cable to the windscreen in
order to improve reception.
No TMC- / NAVTEQ
Traffic-reception
Car charger cable with integrated TMC
antenna is not plugged in correctly and
TMC antenna not routed on the
windscreen.
Check whether the cable on the
navigation device is plugged in correctly
and completely. Fasten the TMC
antenna to the windscreen.
