When the
Tracheoport®
is used for mucus extraction from the
upper respiratory tracts you should follow the following proce-
dure:
– Take
Tracheoport®
out of carrying case or from
holder.
– Put up the unit in vertical position.
– Connect the suction hose and put the suction set or
the suction catheter onto the suction hose.
– Ensure correct hose connections of suction system.
– Switch the unit on for starting the suction procedure.
Attention: Suction procedures in the respiratory tract
may only be implemented after appropriate instruc-
tion by hospital or special staff.
– Control the suction procedure with the finger tip.
– Rinse the suction hose with clean water from the
rinsing jar after each suction procedure.
– Use a new, sterile suction catheter for each suction
procedure.
