Make sure that the collection jar is evacuated in time
(generally, after each suction procedure).
When the jar is filled, the overflow safety reacts and
suction is stopped. Empty the jar as described in section
4.1.
If secretion has penetrated the pump, the
Tracheoport®
has to be maintained by a service technician.
Using the rinsing jar:
– Remove the mirror.
– Lift the rinsing jar with lid upwards out of its support.
– Open the rinsing jar by lifting up its lid.
– Fill the rinsing jar with clean water.
– Fix the lid.
– Insert the rinsing jar again in its support.
Rinsing the suction hose after suction procedures:
– Remove the suction catheter.
– Open the attachment by removing the stopper.
– Then, insert the finger tip in the attachment and suck in
enough water to rinse the suction hose.
