BICYCLE RACK ASSEMBLY
PHASE No. 1
Fix connector (4) to rack frame (1) by means of
the special 8x50 screws (7) inserted as indicated in Fig.1,
using 8x18 washers (8) and M8 self-locking nuts (9). Tighten
firmly using a suitable tool.
PHASE No. 2
Fix crossbar tube (5) to rack frame (1) (Fig. 2),
by means of brackets (6) using 6x45 screws (11), washers
(12) and M6 self-locking nuts (13).
PHASE No. 3
Join crossbar (14) in pairs (one for the “CROSS
2” model and two for the “CROSS 3” model) in the middle
(Fig. 3) using 6x14 screws (16), washers (12) and nuts (13).
Tighten firmly using a suitable tool, then press on the section
cover caps (15) on both sides.
PHASE No. 4
Join the second couple of crossbars for the
model “CROSS 2”, and the third couple of crossbars for
the model “CROSS 3” as just done (see phase no. 3), soon
after fix the licence plate holder (18) on them, using the
parts (17) (16) (12) (13) as shown in Fig. 4.
PHASE No. 5
Fix the first couple of crossbars for the model
“CROSS 2”, and the first two couples of crossbars for the
model “CROSS 3” on the crossbar tube (5) using 6x40
screws (19), washers (12) and nuts (13), as indicated in Fig.
5. Fix the second couple of crossbars for the model “CROSS
2” and the third couple of crossbars for the model “CROSS
3” with the license plate holder turned on the inside and
apply the long quick release support bar system (20) as
shown in Fig. 5.
Lock using a suitable tool.
PHASE No. 6
Fix brackets (17) to crossbars (14) using 6x14
screws (16), washers (12) and nuts (13) into the hole. Tighten
firmly using a suitable tool.
Position lights (21) to brackets already fixed on crossbars
using washers (22) and nuts (23).
Note : Position the lights with the license plate light turned
on the inside!

• Position the bicycle rack connector on the car’s tow hook
ball;
• Tighten fixing bolt (2) using a tightening torque of 110 Nm.,
taking care to ensure that the bicycle rack is not loose and
that it is perfectly blocked on the geometric coupling;
• Connect the lights plug to the power socket in the car,
usually placed on the side of the tow hook;
• After this operation, check to make sure the entire lighting
system works perfectly.
• Fix the light electric cables to the frame, using the supplied
clamps to prevent them from hanging loosely.
PLACING THE BICYCLE ON THE BICYCLE RACK
ONCE IT HAS BEEN FITTED TO THE CAR

• Remove all accessories and movable parts (water bottle,
pump, etc) from the bicycle;
• It is important to fit the bicycle on the supports provided,
so that they are opposite to each other (the handlebars of
the first bicycle must be on the right, those of the second
must be on the left, the third on the right). Take care to make
sure that the pedals,handlebars and metal parts do not
touch parts of the vehicle;
• Place the first bike on the internal section and fix it to rack
frame (1) using the foam rubber protection (3) by means of
the two straps (10);
• Now fix the wheels using straps (25), as shown: two straps
in the front wheel and one in the rear wheel;
• Place the second bike on the central section and fix it using
the quick release support bar system (20). Fix the wheels
by means of straps (25) in the same manner
Important note !
Comply with the following rules for all bicycle racks.
Check systematically to ensure the bicycle rack is fixed perfectly
on the vehicle and that the bicycle wheels are blocked.
Check regularly to ensure that all the locking mechanisms are
fixed perfectly and are not damaged !
IMPORTANT : Before proceeding with the
assembly, it is essential to read all the
instructions and to strictly comply with the
indications.
as indicated above;
• Place the third bike on the outer section and fix it by means
of the quick release support bar system (29), then fix the
wheels by means of strap (25) : two in the front wheel and
one in the rear wheel.
• U
se safety belt (26) to secure the bike assembly
to the bicycle rack frame.
• After carrying out this operation, check to make
sure the vehicle, the bicycle rack and the bicycles are
all compact, and that they are unable to move.
• It may be necessary to use additional straps or fixing
systems, depending on the shape of your bikes.
• Metal parts of the bikes can be protected with foam
rubber or similar materials.
ONLY FOR “CROSS 3”:
•With three bicycles, because of the greater weight
carried, for better safety, secure the bicycle rack to the
car hatch, as indicated in Fig. 8.
Insert hook (28) in the second safety belt (26), wraps it
around frame (1), to include also the bicycle frames, if
possibile, and fix hook (28) in the upper part of the car
hatch.
Pull the belt moderately tight.
SAFETY WARNINGS
• This bicycle rack has been designed, built and factory tested
with care, in compliance with the safety standards as required
by Directive 79/488/CE.
• After travelling for about 10 – 15 km., check the assembly
to make sure it is fixed properly. Check the straps and the
various bolts to make sure they are well tightened, and
subsequently check regularly during the trip.
• Hooks and bolts will get worn with time. In this case, they
must be replaced immediately.
• Vehicle driving will be influenced by the effect of wind,
sudden braking, tight bends, high speed, rises and dips on
uneven roads. Therefore, reduce the speed, comply with
local speed limits and, in any case, never exceed 130 kph.
• The manufacturer shall not be liable for damage deriving
from high vehicle speed or improper driving.
• Before starting, each time and frequently during the journey,
check to make sure that the fixing mechanisms and bolts
are tightened properly, and that the assembly is in good
condition.
• The bicycle rack together with the bikes fitted on it must
not be more than 1.8 m wide.
• The bikes must have no exposed sharp edges that could
cause injuries to persons.
• Objects that are difficult to see must not project beyond the
vehicle outline.
• Dismantle the bicycle rack if it is not being used.
• Dismantle the bicycle rack when the vehicle is washed.
• This rack requires accurate assembly and strict observance
of the installation and use instructions. When driving your
vehicle, you are entirely responsible for your own safety and
that of others.
• Respect the laws applicable in the country of use.
• Make these instructions available to anyone else using your
bicycle rack.
