OPERATION
PREPARING THE UNIT
Unpacking and completing the assembly should
be done on a flat and stable surface, with enough
space for moving the machine and its packaging,
always making use of suitable equipment.
NOTE:
The installed electric motor is completely wired
ready for operation. The customer‘s connection to
the power supply system, and any extension cables
that may be used, must conform with local regula-
tions. Check electrical connection cables regularly
for damage. Make sure the cable is disconnected
from the mains when checking. Electrical connection
cables must comply with the regulations applicable
in your country.
WARNING:
To protect the electric motor against overloads it has
a motor protection built in. If the motor is overheat
-
ed or overloaded, it will shut off automatically. In this
case the motor can be restarted after a few minutes
of cooling down. If the machine’s overload protec
-
tion is activated repeatedly within a short time, the
machine needs to be checked by a qualified electri
-
cian, before attempting to operate it again.
WARNING:
The machine must have an earth cable to protect
the operator from electrical shocks. Connect the
machine only to a socket with the properly installed
ground contact.
To assemble the machine follow the below steps (Fig.
2-9):
1. Place fan housing (4), with the motor facing
down, on a workbench or similar stable support
and set it level with a block of wood or similar.
2. Loosen the 3 hexagon nuts and washers (9)
shown on both sides of the ventilator hous-
ing. Mount the 2 plates as shown on the bolts.
Guide the two side panels (8) over the bolts
with the adhesive label pointing outwards. Fit
all washers and re-tighten all nuts on the ven-
tilator housing.
3. Install the cross plate (10) between the side
panels using its bolts and hex nuts.
4. Screw one wheel (11) to each corner of the bot
-
tom panel. Secure each wheel with a hex nut
(12).
5. Screw the grounding chain (13) into the bottom
panel. Secure the grounding chain with a hex
flange nut.
6.
Place the prepared bottom panel on the side
panels and secure with its bolts and hex nuts.
Then check all screws and nuts for tightness
and place machine with the wheels on the floor.
7. Put the hose clamp (14) on one end of the suc
-
tion hose (15) and then push the hose on the
suction port below the motor. Tighten the hose
clamp.
8.
Clamp dust collection bag under the fan open-
ing. Fit a sufficiently long and wide dust collec
-
tion bag (16) (e.g. 600 × 900 mm) and tighten it
with its strap (17).
9. Insert the rod (18) into the two holes on the
edge of the upper dust bag opening. Thread
the clamp ring (20) through the guide sewn into
the dust bag (19). Fit the dust bag over the dust
bag opening. Tighten the clamp ring.
OPERATING THE UNIT
WARNING:
You must fully assemble the appliance before using
it for the first time.
Before each use, check the following:
Proper function of the ON / OFF switch.
Operate machine only on a power source that
meets the following requirements:
1.
Outlets are properly installed, earthed and
tested.
2.
Outlets are protected by a 10A fuse with time
lag.
3.
Main voltage and system frequency conform to
the voltage and frequency shown on the ma-
chine´s name plate.
4. Fuse is protected by a residual current device
(RCD) of 30 mA sensitivity.
5. Use only oil-resistant extensions cords class
H07 RN-F. Lead cross-section should be at least
1.0 mm

.
To operate the machine, follow the below steps:
1. Place the dust extractor next to the woodwork
-
ing machine in a way that it will not interfere
with your work.
2.
Connect the suction hose to the dust extraction
port of the woodworking machine.
3.
Place the dust extractor’s power supply cable
on the floor and plug it into an outlet.
4. Turn the dust extractor’s motor switch (Fig 1.3)
ON and wait a few seconds, until the fan has
reached full speed.
5. If the upper dust bag does not fill with air after
a few seconds, pull it up.
6. Start the woodworking machine and com
-
mence with your work.
7.
Let the dust extractor run for at least 10 sec-
onds after the woodworking machine has been
shut down.
