5.8 Booster installation
→
Check that the positions of the plant valves are relative air vents allow all air pockets to be
eliminated. If the unit in installed horizontally, the motor must always be immersed in the
water even when it is not being used. Failing this, completely fill (see point 5.1)
→
The pipes must be supported near the booster unit since this latter must never act as a
bearing point. Furthermore, the weight of the booster must not bear on the pump flanges,
but just on the relative supporting points.
→
Sometimes it is necessary to intervene on the non-return valve, if the pump is installed
horizontally; contact F.B. srl or authorized assistance centre
→
The unit should be submersed for at least 0,5 meters below the water dynamic level,
such however to fulfill its NPSH requirements.
5.9 Tank installation
→
Correct installation of the unit will include a booster.
→
The limitations given for boosters will also apply if the unit is installed in a horizontal
position.

5.10 Ensuring sufficient motor cooling
_______________________________________________________________
Damages to the motor and cable due to overheating
→ Make certain that the speed of the coolant along the motor is sufficient.
→ Make certain that the length of cable connected to the motor is always surrounded by the liquid
which ensures cooling.
