Max. stroke reached.
From pressure buildup,
overflow is
exceeded. Piston rod
travels in the distance
of the over-cover
(approx. 0.079lbs).
No error at hand.
Observe max. stroke.

Be sure to use
properly!
With jerky pumping, a
strong internal flow is
created and will flush
out possible foreign
matter from the valve
seat.
Repeat this multiple
times.
System

pressure.
Pressure
drops.
Lowering valve

Check if the pedal

Check to see if there
is contamination/dirt.

Temperature
fluctuations

Repeat this multiple
times.
The unit is a closed
system and thus due
to its tightness, it
reacts to temperature
changes.
Oil volume changes
when cooling.
No error in unit.
Maintain ambient
operating
temperature.

Vent out the unit (see
Section 13.2). Usually
the unit can remain in
the frame.
Clean the piston rod.
12. Care
12.1 Caring for the chair
•
In general the wheelchair can be cleaned using
a mild conventional cleaning and disinfecting
agent.
•
Next simply wipe the chair with clean water
and cloth, and then wipe dry with a clean cloth.
•
Do not use an abrasive scouring agent or cleaner
(read the product instructions!) that contain
aggressive solvents (acids, benzene, thinners,
alcohol).
•
Do not use stiff cleaning objects (e.g. brushes),
as these will damage the plastic surfaces or cause
deposits to build up on the plastic parts and
other materials.
12.2 Caring for the hydraulic unit
•
For care, use a mild conventional cleaning and
•
disinfection agent. After cleaning wipe with
clean water and wipe the hydraulic unit dry
with a soft cloth.
•
Do not use any aggressive cleaning agent or
comparable product (for example: thinners,
acetone, etc.).
•
The hydraulic unit must not be sprayed or
steamcleaned (for example: steam sprayer).
•
The ambient temperature must not exceed
70ºC during cleaning.
Keep the product clean, and clean
it on a regular basis. Hygiene must
be monitored carefully, especially in
sensitive areas.
13. Maintenance and upkeep
The cause of accidents or damage may be traced
back to a late detection of wear and/or improper
use, as well as irregular maintenance and upkeep.
For safety reasons and for preventing
accidents, the chair must undergo a
complete maintenance check at least
once a year.
