This driving tool is not used for moun-
ting electrical cables. It is not designed
for the installation of electrical cables
and may damage the insulation on
electrical cables and thereby cause
injury by electrical shock to the user or
present a fire hazard.
Corresponds to respective EU
harmonisation legal directives.
The user and other persons in the
work area must wear certified hearing
protection with a sufficient level of
protection.
The user and other persons in the work
area must wear impact-resistant eye
protection with protective side guards.
When lifting the tool, moving between
work locations, changing work
positions or when walking, do not
leave your finger on the contact safety
mechanism, since a finger resting on
the trigger could result in the tool being
unintentionally triggered.
The tool has a contact trigger
mechanism and was designated
above. It's intended uses include
manufacturing applications such as
making pallets, furniture, wooden
building construction, upholstery and
production of packaging.
Do not use the tool for applications such
as the closing of crates or boxes and for
mounting safety transport systems on
trucks or trailers.
The tool may only be used in safe work
locations.
When moving from one location to the
next, it is necessary to proceed with
care.
Compressed air from pressure vessels
must not be used to drive the machine.
Driving tool.
The tool requires regular lubrication by
the addition of oil for pneumatic tools
directly into the tool via the air inlet
into the tool.

- If the hose lashes out (violent movement), it may cause
serious injury. Damaged or loosened hoses or couplings
must always be inspected.
- Pneumatic tools must never be carried by the hose.
- Pneumatic tools must never be dragged by the hose.
- The maximum pressure P
smax
must never be exceeded
when using the tool.
- In order to reduce noise and vibrations and to minimise
wear and tear, it is recommended to power the pneu-
matic tool with compressed air at the lowest pressure
that is necessary for the work process to be performed.
- Using oxygen or flammable gases for powering the
pneumatic tool creates a fire and explosion hazard.
- When using the pneumatic tool, it is necessary to pro-
ceed with care since the tool could cool down, which
could affect the grip and control.
VII. Maintenance and Repair
y
Apart from regular lubrication with pneumatic oil
(see above), the tool requires no special maintenance
during its entire lifetime with the exception of possibly
needing to remove jammed staples or nails from the
driving head of the nail/staple gun.
•
WARNING
y
Perform service (maintenance) tasks with the compre-
ssed air supply disconnected from the machine.
y
Only original spare parts of the manufacturer may be
used for repairs.
y
Repairs on the machine may only be performed by
authorised service centres of the Extol brand (contacts
provided below), which have original spare parts for
performing repairs.
REMOVING JAMMED STAPLES OR NAILS
1. Slide out the magazine cover and remove all the sta-
ples/nails from the magazine.
y
If it is possible to remove the jammed nail or staple from
the area of the magazine without risking damage to the
tool, then remove it, e.g. by using appropriate pliers,
otherwise it is necessary to tilt open the drive head
cover as shown in fig. 6 to gain access to the nail/staple.
Fig. 6
2. After gently removing the jammed nails/staples from the
machine, put it back into working condition and reload
nails and staples according to the procedure above.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS (WARNINGS) FOR
DRIVING TOOLS IN THE FORM OF PICTOGRAMS
PROVIDED ON THE DRIVING TOOL
It is necessary to read the user's manual
and understand the labels (markings)
on the tool. Non-adherence to this war-
ning could result in serious injuries.
Driving tools must only be used in safe
work locations. When using the driving
tool, it is necessary to maintain a stable
stance. When driving joining material,
the stability of the user may be distur-
bed. For this reason, do not use the dri-
ving tool on ladders, chairs, scaffolding
or other insufficiently stable base.
