After the hardware installation the OS will recognize the device automatically and install
the drivers.

4. Hardware Installation
Because there are large differences between PC

s, we can give you only a general in-
stallation guide. Please refer your computer
’
s reference manual whenever in doubt.
1.
Use precautionary measures to discharge static electricity! Before installation, remo-
ve possible static discharge potentials from all objects with which the insulator could
come into contact. This can be done, for example, by touching a bare metal housing
rail after switching off the power supply.
2.
Now connect the EX
-
1452IS with the included USB cable and the other end of the
cable to the USB port on your PC.
3.
Now connect the devices to the EX
-
1452IS.
4.
If desired, now install the wall mounting kit or the optionally available DIN
-
Rail Kit on
the EX
-
1452IS.
