Charging the batteries
●
Connect the charging unit to the battery pack, and plug the
charger‘s mains cable into a suitable power outlet.
●
A
yellow
LED
on the charging unit indicates that the batteries
are being charged.
●
A fully charged battery is indicated by a
green
LED
on the
charging unit.
●
The battery pack can remain connected to the charging unit until
the lifter is to be used – there is no risk of overcharging.
●
Disconnect the charging unit from the battery pack and from the
power outlet before using the lifter. No LEDs light up on the
charger.
●
When the lifter is switched on, the indicator on the battery pack
should show a fully charged battery.
NOTE!
i
i
If a
red
LED
lights up on the charging unit, the
battery is defective.
Charging is not possible.
Charging time
There is no
fi
xed charging time. The electronically controlled
charging unit prevents the batteries being overcharged. However,
the charging time should be at least as long as the operating time.
Optimum charging time:
8 to 10 hours
The batteries cannot be overcharged (e.g. continuous charging
during the entire weekend).
The electronic charging unit switches over to trickle charging when
the batteries are full. However, for energy-saving reasons, the
charging unit should be disconnected from the mains supply if the
vehicle is not used for a longer period.
