10. Troubleshooting guide
Problem
Possible solution
The stereo does
not turn on or the
controls do not
react.
•
Make sure the mains lead is correctly connected and that
the wall socket is live.
•
Shut it off and pull out the plug. Reconnect the plug after
about 1 minute.
CD
The CD does not
play or the sound
dissappears.
•
Make sure that the function control is in CD mode.
•
Check that the CD is sitting in the correct position (label up).
•
Change or clean the disc. Refer to the care instructions.
•
Make sure that PAUS is not activated. Press [PLAY/PAUS]
•
Make sure that the CD disc is not scratched or dirty.
•
Vibrations may cause the sound to dissappear temporarily.
Radio
Bad FM
reception.
•
Make sure that the FM aerial is completely extended.
•
Place the stereo in another location.
•
Move the stereo from intefering devices such as power
adaptors, microwaves, etc.
•
Certain building materials shield radio waves.
Change the stereo’s location.
No sound
•
The volume is set to 0. Increase the volume.
•
Remove any headphones from the headphone outlet.
The remote con-
trol
doesn’t work
•
Insert new batteries.
•
Point the remote towards the stereo’s sensor (2).
