Safety
• The speaker should not be taken apart or modified. Certain unshielded
components inside the speaker’s casing carry dangerous voltages. Contact with
these can lead to fire or electric shock.
• Do not cover the speaker. Adequate ventilation with a distance of at least 5 cm
between the speaker and surrounding objects is necessary to prevent the speaker
from overheating.
• The speaker must only be connected to a 100–240 V, 50/60 Hz wall socket.
• Make sure that the used wall socket is easily accessible, as this is the only way to
completely disconnect the speaker from the mains supply.
• Place the speaker on a stable, flat surface.
• Do not place the speaker where it could fall into water or other liquid. Do not place
any objects containing liquid on the speaker, such as vases, drinks, etc.
• Do not place the speaker near open flames such as wood stoves, lit candles, etc.
• Place the speaker in an area where there is no risk of anyone tripping over its
mains lead.
• Never subject the speaker to high temperatures e.g. prolonged sunlight exposure,
dust, heavy vibrations, impacts, damp or moisture.
• Do not abuse the mains lead. Never unplug the product by pulling on its
mains lead. Always grip the plug itself. Make sure that the mains lead does not
come into contact with heat, sharp edges or is any way crushed.
• Disconnect the plug from the wall socket during thunderstorms or if the speaker is
not to be used for a long time.
• The speaker’s standby switch does not completely disconnect it from the mains.
Unplug the speaker from the wall socket to completely disconnect the from
the mains.
• Protect your hearing. Listening on high volume for prolonged periods can lead to
permanent hearing loss.
• Do not use the speaker if it or the mains lead is damaged in any way.
• Only use accessories that are approved by the manufacturer or retailer.
• The speaker must only be repaired by qualified service technicians.
