“RFID” Anti-Hijacking Operation :
1) The RFID Anti-Hijacking process is activated every time the vehicle’s igni
-
tion is turned “On”, or a vehicle door is opened while the ignition is “On”.
2) Upon activation, the alarm will begin to search for the RFID remote con-
trol’s signal for 3 minutes. (The Anti-Hijacking operation may be cancelled
manually by pressing the Valet button within the first 59 seconds after activa
-
tion).
NOTE
: If the remote’s RFID feature is “Off”, the Anti-Hijacking operation can
only
be cancelled by pressing the Valet button within the first 59 seconds
after activation
4) If the alarm receives the remote’s RFID signal during the full 3 minute
search window, the alarm will exit the Anti-Hijacking mode and wait for the
next activation trigger to begin the process again. If During the 3 minutes, a
door is reopened, the 3 minute search is reset.
4) If during the 3 minute search, the alarm fails to receive the remote’s RFID
signal, the 3 minute search is reset.
5) If during the 3 minute search, the alarm fails to receive the remote’s RFID
signal 3 consecutive times, the alarm will begin the countdown towards
Anti-Hijack trigger. Pressing the Valet button any time before full trigger will
cancel the Anti-Hijack operation until the next time the ignition is turned “On”,
or a door is opened while the ignition is “On”.
6) If the remote’s built-in motion sensor does not detect any movement for 2
minutes it will enter a sleep mode. Before doing so, the remote will transmit
a sleep code to the alarm cancelling the Anti-Hijack operation until the next
time the ignition is turned “On”, or a door is opened while the ignition is “On”.
ORDER OF ANTI-CARJACKING SEQUENCE:
- For first 20 seconds after the sequence has begun there are no signs.
- From 21-30 seconds, the LED will blink slowly.
- From 31-45 seconds, the LED will blink fast and the siren/horn will chirp
once every 2 seconds.
- From 46-60 seconds, the LED will blink fast and the siren/horn will chirp
once per second.
- If not cancelled yet, at 61 seconds the alarm will trigger.
- At 71 seconds, the “Starter Kill” output will engage
NOTE:
Once the Anti-Carjack mode is triggered, the remote control will NOT
stop the operation, nor will the system reset automatically.
Once it is triggered,
the Anti-Carjacking operation can only be deactivated by:
1)
Turning the vehicle’s ignition “Off”.
2)
Turning the vehicle’s ignition back “On”.
3)
Within 5 seconds, Press & Release the Valet button.
