6 Maintenance
6.0 Cleaning of the toilet
To clean the toilet, no special cleaners are needed. Standard available cleaners will do the job. Do
not use any cleaners on the seat and cover that may cause scratching of the surface.
6.1 Removing scale deposits
To remove scale deposits, normal household vinegar can be used. Pour the vinegar into the bowl,
leave it there for a few hours and pump it out by operating the toilet several times or poor a bucket
of water into the bowl and pump it all out with the emergency button.
6.2
Cleaning the toilet after use on salt water
This toilet is suitable for the use on salt water. However, after being used on salt water for a few
weeks, it is advised to flush the toilet with fresh water a few times.
6.3
Protection against freezing
To protect the toilet against freezing, salt or cooling fluid should be added to the flushing water (or
put into the bowl) and flushed a few times.
Do not put anti-freeze in the toilet! The supply- and
discharge lines should be drained completely for optimum protection.
