When a card is jammed in the printing unit, the LEDS from the
control panel are as shown:
Work is interrupted.
Do not turn off the unit: this would lead to a loss of the printing jobs in progress that are
stored in the printer’s memory.
Remove the card as follows:
1. Open the cover of the printer and remove the ribbon.
2. Press the push button from the Control Panel to run the transportation rollers. If the card is still
stuck inside the printer, push it manually towards the printer outlet. If there are several cards,
always push the top one first.
3. Replace the ribbon then close the printer cover.
To prevent card jamming:
1. Make sure that the card thickness corresponds to the specifications in the ”Technical
Specifications” section of this manual.
2. Check that the cards are not curved or stuck together.
