6.3.1.2.  Connecting the Terminal Application 

Open the terminal application (HyperTerminal / Tera Term etc.) Create a serial connection and ensure 
the following parameters have been set:

It should be noted that the COM port can vary based on which port your serial cable is connected to 
and from computer to computer. 

 

6.3.1.3.  Logging onto the Device 

Once you turn on the device, a welcome and boot screen should load on the terminal. It will be similar 
to the figure 6-10 shown below.
