will be lit while unit is switched on to confirm power. If the temperature light is lit, an overheat has oc-
curred. See cool down and duty cycle instructions on page 11. An overcurrent light signals a significant opera-
tional problem, including, operating on too low/high of voltage, too long of extension cord, operating on a
generator not rated as
“
clean power
”,
and/or some internal event that caused an excessive current draw. Check
for issues then attempt one reset, if this does not clear or reoccurs shortly after, contact Everlast Tech Support.

Down Slope/Post Flow

10 Seconds
Down Slope is used with 2T/4T only. Post Flow is used with 2T/4T function and foot pedal. Down slope is
used to tail off amperage down to the minimum amperage with the torch switch. Post
-
Flow is used to provide
post weld cooling and shielding of the weld puddle and torch.
3
Function/Process
Selectors
NA
Used to select turn on or select the desired features of the unit. When the LED is lit, this means that the pro-
cess/function over the LED has been chosen.
4
AC Balance
10
-
90%
of positive
Represented as a percent of Electrode Positive (EP), this controls the cleaning/penetration of the arc when
welding in AC mode. Usually set between 20% and 40%. Higher settings result in tungsten balling.
5
AC Frequency
20
-
250Hz
Represented in Hertz, this is the number of times per second one complete cycle from Electrode negative to
electrode positive and back to electrode negative occurs. Controls arc cone focus.
6
Pressure Gauge
65
-
72 PSI
(Recommended)
Indicates the adjusted air pressure for plasma cutting. The Pressure gauge is intended to be used to help regu-
late Air Pressure for Plasma cutting only. However, the gauge may indicate pressure while TIG welding. This
pressure reading is irrelevant and should be ignored.

Control knobs adjusts maximum amperage. The display displays only the welding/cutting amperage. The maxi-
mum output reading will display a maximum of 160A in TIG mode 130A in Stick mode and up to 40A in Plas-
ma mode. DC allows down to 5 Amp operation. AC allows down to 20 Amp operation. In 120V mode, the dis-
play maximum will be reduced.

CUT
>45PSI
This unit has a safety feature which cuts off plasma operation if the air pressure drops below approximately 45
PSI. To indicate the unit has reached minimum safe operating pressure, the OK
-
TO
-
CUT light will light up and
stay lit. If the pressure drops below the threshold of 45 PSI the light will go out and the unit will cease to cut.
