Changing Sub-Micron Filters
The two (2) sub-micron filter cartridges act as one filter cartridge and all water flow is in parallel
not in series. They should always be changed together. Never change one sub-micron
cartridge separately from the other. The filter cartridges must be replaced when either of the
following are true, whichever happens first:
● When a total of 18,000 gallons of water has flown through the manifold since the
cartridges were last changed.
● When the pressure drop across the sub-micron filter stage exceeds the specified limit
meaning that they are clogged.

please reference the Everpure Filtration System Manual.
Procure two new sub-micron filter cartridges and then prepare to change the filters. Always use
genuine Everpure filter cartridges with the machine. Everpure supplies are available from
Everest or can be sourced locally. See specifications section of this manual for manufacturer’s
reference model numbers.
● Shut off main manifold inlet valve.
● Open flush valve to release system pressure.
● Using your hand (no filter wrench), push the cartridge up slightly into the manifold and
twist each sub-micron filter cartridge ¼” turn anti-clockwise until it drops out of the
manifold.
● Remove sealant wrap from the new sub-micron filter cartridges and verify that both the
small and larger rubber “O” rings at the top of the cartridge are present and seated
correctly in the groove.
● Insert a new filter cartridge up into the manifold hole and slowly turn it until it recesses
into place.
● Using your hand (no filter wrench), rotate the cartridge ¼” clockwise until it will not turn
further and you will feel a click as it locks into place. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.
● Shut the flush valve.
● Open the main manifold inlet valve and check for leaks to be sure that the new
cartridges are installed correctly.
● FLUSH THE NEW SUB-MICRON FILTER CARTRIDGES.
Flushing Sub-Micron Water Filters
New filter cartridges must always be flushed in a controlled process before being used.
