Tilt and slide the adjuster

Press the tab

on the hook. Press hook in and twist
to release. Repeat on other side.

When the LATCH system is not in use, you
MUST
securely store it in the area provided in the base

.
Fold the harness strap, place it in the middle, and put
the hooks in the slots located on each side of the stor-
age area. A loose LATCH harness and hook may injure
your child.

Installing the Child Restraint
without the Base
After securing the infant, place the restraint into your
vehicle. Adjust the restraint so that the level line

is
parallel with the vehicle floor.
NOTE: Generally, the center rear seating position is the
safest. This infant restraint
MUST
face the rear of
the vehicle.
Rotate the handle to the down position by squeezing
both handle triggers

.
Secure the restraint to your vehicle by routing the
vehicle seat belt through the belt slots

on the sides
of the restraint.

the farthest position
behind the restraint for
more room in small
vehicles.
