OPERATION

3.2.

Left/Right Position

The SC3070 is a 3-way studio monitor with asymmetrical design. For this

reason, it is available in two different versions for the right side and the left

side of the stereo field.

Best left/right SC3070 position for an optimal stereo field

For the right side of the stereo field, choose the SC3070 version whose

woofer is on the right-hand side. For the left side of the stereo field, choose

the SC3070 version whose woofer is on the left-hand side. In other words,

the tweeter of each monitor should be placed on the inner side of the

stereo field. This setup reduces the impact of reflecting surfaces between

the tweeters.
In a narrow room, you may place the tweeters on the outer side of the

stereo field in order to extend the width of the soundscape. However this

might affect your ability to perceive the position of the signals in the sound

field because of the increased reflections generated by the side walls.
