1. Make sure that the device is
not
connected to the mains power. Move the steam
quantity control (

) to position
and the temperature control (

) to
min.
Turn the
little wheel until

is next to the operating lamp.
2. Open the water reservoir by opening up the water reservoir cover (

).
3. Place the device with the bottom of the iron (

) onto a
fl
at surface and tilt it back
slightly so that it stands on the rear edge of the housing.
4. Fill the reservoir up to the
MAX
marking (

) with the supplied measuring cup. The
reservoir holds approx. 280 ml.
5. Close the water reservoir by
fl
ipping the cover shut again. Make sure that the water
reservoir is completely sealed shut.
Ironing
CAUTION!

Never aim the steam directly at people, animals or plants. This can cause severe
scalding.
1. Fill up the water reservoir with water (see the "Filling the Water Reservoir" section).
2. Place the device to heat up upright on a stable,
fl
at, heat-resistant and moisture-
resistant surface.
3. Plug the mains plug of the device into a properly installed mains socket that is easily
accessible. The operating lamp (1
4
) lights up.
4. Move the temperature control (
4
), depending on what the care label of the item to be
ironed states. If you wish to steam iron your fabrics, we recommend a medium (
••
) to
maximum (
•••
) temperature.
5. As the device heats up, the temperature control lamp (

) lights up. Wait until the de-
vice has heated up and the temperature control lamp goes out.
6. Use the steam quantity control (
11
) to set the desired quantity of steam. You can now
start ironing.
7. When the water reservoir (

) is empty, steam will no longer be produced. Move the
steam quantity control to
,
pull out the mains plug and top up the water reservoir
in the manner described in the "Filling the Water Reservoir" section.
Steam Burst
• To smooth down stubborn creases, press the
steam burst button (

). When you
do this, a strong burst of steam is produced. Then let go of the button and wait 3 to 5
seconds before you press the button again.
Note:
The lower the temperature which is set, the smaller quantities of steam the
device emits and the longer the gaps until it produces more steam.
