5.2 Membrane Storage and Preservation

New ETUF modules should be kept in their original packaging before use.
▪
When not mounted on the skids, ETUF modules must be rested parallel to the ground.
▪
Storage temperature should be between 5
–
40°C.
▪
Avoid exposing the modules to direct sunlight for long periods of time.
▪
If used ETUF modules need to be taken down for storage, CIP must be performed first. Subsequently,
the membranes must be kept wet.

For short-term storage (7-days or less), flush the ETUF module with comparatively clean water (e.g.
drinking water, RO water) for 5 mins. Then fill the module with the water and store it properly.

For longer storage periods (more than 7 days), re-preservation is recommended. Pour the solution
through the feed or concentrate side of the module.
