Notes regarding the operation:
During operation, a light rippling can be heard. The sounds produced by the fountain in operation are
perceived as pleasant and relaxing by many people.
Please be advised, the pumps do not run silently. When choosing the installation place, consider the fact that
noise-sensitive people may find this humming annoying. The noise produced from the pumps can be
influenced, among other things, by the water level and the nature of the installation place.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Disconnect from mains before starting maintenance operation!

Apart from regular refills and occasional changes of the water, the fountain does not require much
maintenance. The fountain continuously increases the humidity in dry rooms and creates a pleasant room
climate. To ensure ideal operation replace the evaporated water in regular intervals. For this check the water
level frequently and refill water if necessary.
When operating the fountain and cleaning the pumps always make sure there is sufficient water in the
reservoir to avoid that the pumps run dry. The pumps are quality products designed for permanent use. They
require little maintenance. Just clean the pump filter from time to time. The pumps themselves do not require
any maintenance.
The fountain components should be cleaned once in a while as there may be debris of dirt and scale in the
course of time. Depending on the level of dirt an interval of 2 to 3 months is usually sufficient. For this we
recommend to fully drain the fountain and to refill it afterwards. This procedure poses a good opportunity to
change the water.
With standard tap water there may be deposits at the pump among others after a while. Thus we strongly
advise you to operate the fountain with distilled or scale-free water only. To prevent the development of
biofilm and microorganisms (e.g. bacteria, algae, fungi and protozoa) we recommend the use of a harmless
antimicrobial water supplement, e.g. as available for pool supplies. Growth of algae can also be prevented
by avoiding direct sunlight.
For cleaning the stainless steel components use matching stainless steel agent (without scrubbing agent)
and a lint-free, moistured cloth. Do not use chemicals! Please do not bring the stainless steel components in
contact with other metals or flash rust.
Damage on wearing parts (such as hose connectors) and from scale deposits and impairment (e.g. from
growth of algae or other deposits) are not subject to warranty.
If the fountain is to be shut off for a longer period of time, please remove the water completely. Otherwise it
may lead to algal and bacterial growth in the course of time.
