Wheels and casters
Nuts, bolts and other fasteners
Cable (kinks, frays, abrasions)
Check the entire machine for:
Dents or damage
Corrosion or oxidation
Cracks in welds or structural components
Be sure that all structural and other critical components are present and all associated fasteners and pins
are in place and properly tightened.
Be sure that there is a minimum of 4 wraps of cable around the winch drum when the load is fully lowered.
Setup
Position the machine at the desired work site. Make sure that the winch directs to the outward side. In this
way, you can make sure that you will not be located underneath the load when raising it.
Be aware of and avoid the following hazardous situations:
Drop-offs or holes
Bumps, floor obstructions or debris
Slopes that exceed the machine’s leveling capability
Unstable or slippery surfaces
Overhead obstructions and high voltage conductors
Hazardous locations
Inadequate surface support to withstand all load forces imposed by the machine
Wind and weather conditions
The presence of unauthorized personnel
Other possible unsafe conditions
Pull out the spring pin and screw out the screw handle to unlock the leg-brace slider and flip the leg from
vertical into horizontal position.
Choose the closest of the holes in the leg and restore the spring pin and the screw handle to lock the leg-
brace slider to the leg.
Repeat above steps with the other 3 legs.
Use the leg-brace screw jacks to ensure the footplate touches the ground.
Continue turning the screw jacks of each leg in sequence until the wheels slightly lift off the ground (5-15 mm
is recommended).
Level the machine with the leg-brace screw jacks by using a spirit level. Level the machine using only the
outriggers.
When used on a sloping surface, the footplates must be secured to the ground to avoid any sliding.
When the stand in securely positioned and vertical, check again that the leg-brace sliders are properly
locked into their holes in the foot.
Installation of the adapter
Attach an appropriate crossbeam or truss adapter to the top end of the stand and fasten it.
Caution:
The loads have to be installed in a balanced way.
Installation of the luminaires
Install the fixtures on the crossbeam and do always install an appropriate safety bond.
When electrical devices are operated at the truss system, the truss lifter must always be earthed!
DANGER TO LIFE!
Before taking into operation for the first time, the installation has to be approved by an expert!
