Fitting the Replacement Euroheat Universal Thermocouple (38641)
1)
Feed the cable through to the back of the stove and fit the TTB to the bracket, the nut should
be secured finger tight, as using a spanner could damage the supporting bracket.
(see page 20 for bracket position).
2)
Loosely fit the 10mm nut to the pilot assembly and push the
thermocouple sensor through the nut to the correct position
and tighten the nut. Fit the other end to the gas valve.
3)
Check the operation of the pilot, making sure that the main
burner control knob is in the OFF position, adjusting the
thermocouple height if required due to flame movement.
The tip of the thermocouple should be in the hottest part of
the flame, see the diagram below for the thermocouple
position within the flame.
4)
Replace the lower heat shield below the gas valve.
5)
Replace the burner base, log or coal effect and embers, top
up embers if required. Ensure that the burner base is sitting
correctly on the burner seal below. See page 24.
6)
Check the operation of the main burner. That the burner lights within 3 seconds.
