OPERATION
Start cooking
Switching On and Off
1. Place a pan on a cooking zone.
2. Press the control knob and turn it clockwise to the desired position. Consult the overview of
cooking settings to choose the correct mode.

The cooking zone will then heat up.

The cooking zone switches on and off automatically to provide the power you have set.
At lower settings the cooking zone is off for a long time and on from time to time. At
higher settings the cooking zone is on for a long time and off from time to time.
3. Turn the knob to ‘0’ to switch Off the cooking zone.
A heat residual indIcation will light up of the cooking zone which is too hot to touch.
It will disappear when the surface has cooled down to a safe temperature. It can also be
used as an energy saving function if you want to heat other pans, use the cooking zone
that is still hot.
Cooking settings
Because the settings depend on the quantity and composition of the contents of the pan,
the table below is intended as a guideline only.
Use lowest position (1) to:
• complete the cooking of large quantities;
• defrost hard vegetables;
• fry thin slices of (breaded) meat;
• simmer bouillon;
• stew meats;
• simmer vegetables;
• melt chocolate;
• poach;
• melt cheese.
Use the middle position (2) to:
• fry thick pancakes;
• fry thick slices of breaded meat;
• fry bacon (fat);
• cook raw potatoes;
• make French toast;
• fry breaded fish;
• cook through pasta;
