Cooking guidelines
Because the levels depend on the quantity and composition of the contents of the pan, the table
below is intended as a guideline only.
Use level ‘boost’ to:
• make the pan hot quickly;
• bring liquid to the boil quickly.
Use level 8 and 9 to:
• sear meat;
• browning food;
• starting to cook;
• make French toast;
• fry bacon;
• cook through pasta;
• deep frying frozen foods.
Use level 6 and 7 to:
• fry thick pancakes;
• fry breaded meat or fish;
• cook raw potatoes;
• cook fish;
• cook omelettes.
Use level 5 and 6 to:
• maintaining a gentle boil;
• slow cooking food;
• creaming pasta;
• complete the cooking of large quantities;
• defrost hard vegetables.
Use level 1-4 to:
• simmer bouillon;
• stew meats;
• simmer vegetables;
• melt chocolate;
• poach;
• melt cheese.
