Description
The CM2N is a secondary network controller for use on networked
IRC-3/FCC systems. This controller contains all the circuitry, memory,
instructions, and controls to communicate with the master controller.
The CM2N incorporates four seven-segment LED displays, an alarm
silence and a trouble silence switch.
The system data base is stored in non-volatile Electrically Erasable
Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM). Information is entered
and/or modified with an IBM compatible personal computer.

Model CM2N
The CM2N is capable of stand alone operation in the event of loss of
communication with the master controller. Regenerative firmware
permits multiple CM2N's to communicate and function with other
secondary controllers in the event of master controller failure, as long
as the physical RS-485 circuit remains intact between secondary
controllers. Regenerative operation is not available with 20 mA or fiber
optic serial communication formats.
