Ultrasound equipment emits sounds capable of causing hearing damage.
Should the device not be equipped with a noise protection cover, we
recommend using some type of acoustic protection while work is being
performed nearby.
An overly-extended operating period could damage some of the more
sensitive surfaces, especially at lower frequencies. When cleaning such
surfaces, be sure that cleaning time remains appropriate. If in doubt, check
the cleaning result and inspect the state of materials.
Ultrasonic energy is transformed into heat by means of a physical reaction.
The device and liquid heat up in the presence of ultrasound activity, even with
the heating element turned off. In the continuous operation mode with a
protective cover, temperature can exceed 60°C. Take account of the rise in
liquid temperature when cleaning heat-sensitive parts. Ensure that the
cleaning liquid temperature stays below 42°C while washing fresh stains
containing protein and blood.
7.1
Manual initiation of the cleaning process
Service startup using the On/off button.
Adjust the desired length of cleaning time by using the cleaning time dial.
To run a short cycle, turn the dial clockwise to the selected time.
Press the
►■
button to activate the ultrasound.
The device starts up as the ultrasonic cleaning process gets
underway.
Once the programmed time has elapsed, the ultrasounds will stop
automatically.
For continuous service, turn the dial clockwise to the "
∞
" position. In
this case, the ultrasounds will not automatically stop, deactivation
requires either pressing the
►■
button or repositioning the dial on "0".
Reminder:
To reset the dial to "0", be sure to turn the button in the
counterclockwise direction!
To avoid any unintentional ongoing operations, MNU 180 devices
have been fitted with an automatic shutdown mechanism, which
automatically turns off after 12 hours of continuous operation. Should
you wish to immediately reactivate, simply press the on/off button
once again.
7.2
The Sweep function
The MNU 180 instruments have been equipped with an auxiliary
Sweep function.
In the liquid solution, electronic vibrations from the sound field
(Sweep) act on lower-resonance zones. This operating principle yields
a better distribution of vibrations and exerts a direct positive influence
on cleaning efficiency.
